About the Bag Share:
Part of the Hilltown Sustainability Initiative (www.ourworldbydesign.com) and conceived by Leni Fried, the mission of the Bag Share is to reduce and eventually eliminate the consumption of plastic and paper bags. Baskets of reusable fabric bags are found at registers at participating stores and shops, and consumers may grab a bag at check out to carry their purchases home. The bag is then returned to that location or another participating location for another to use. Community Bag Sews (Sewing Circles) are organized by volunteers, materials and machines are donated by individuals and local businesses.
